Ready to Rig

This week I was busy researching rig building as well as preparing for a speech to give on my semester achievements. The speech gave me a chance to reflect on the research I have done and how it influenced my original work, and it was enjoyable to share my experiences at all the studios and display the model I built to my class. For my next speech, I definitely need to rely less on flashcards, as the flow lacked because I was referring back to them too much. I just need more practice with speaking, but I am glad I got to learn that through this speech and not the final speech at the end of the year. For my project going forward, I feel finally prepared to jump into it this week. I have little experience with creating rigs on characters, so I watched a video tutorial on how to use the Advanced Skeleton rig my mentor showed to me at my last visit. This rig is very useful to me under a time limit, as I can apply it easily to my model if I follow the process correctly. It may take a while, but for building the rig with the tools provided, it should be doable in the time I have. That is what I will be working on now that my speech is done. I will start the rig tomorrow and work throughout the week and maybe have it done hopefully in the next few weeks. After that I need to adjust the skinning and then I will be ready to animate.
