As the stress from finishing my product lifts from my shoulders, I think to myself: wow I did a lot of crazy stuff this year. I pushed boundary after boundary to not only connect with animators, but meet them in person at their studios. I brought an idea from my mind into a 3d living space. As this year comes to a close, I am not as worried for next year as I was a few weeks ago, because whatever I chose to do, I know I will still grow like I have this year. I feel proud of all the time I was able to put into the project, even without being at school to work on it, and I hope to create something better in the future. I think the most difficult task for my project was just animating at home with the time I had left. I felt very rushed, and my animations are far from perfect, however they are complete. My favorite part was probably learning all the new steps and realizing that they aren’t as difficult as I originally thought, such as building and adjusting the rig of my character. I would not have been able to complete this whole project in time if it were not for the help of my mentor who showed me shortcuts and offered encouragement during the whole year. I am so thankful for his support, and I will be using the knowledge I have gained to help me in my future animation career.
