Leveling Up

For the past week I got to organize my portfolio and reflect on my interviews and understand what I want to focus on for my topic. I understand now that all the processes in animation are intertwined, and this year I know to maximize my learning I have to study the overall animation process. This was reflected in my topic proposal, and I understand it is going to be a long process, but in the future in ISM II I may decide to pick an aspect to focus on individually. This week I need to focus on deciding my original work, and there are many ideas I could go with. I would like to have another interview this week to gain a better understanding of how reasonable my ideas are in terms of what medium I could work with, in order to narrow the choices down. The biggest challenge I am facing right now is taking time to consider my options for my original work, and at the same time keeping up with my deadlines and written assignments. I will focus on catching up with everything now that I have more free time this week. I would like to continue exploring other used mediums in animation, as well as speak to more professionals in the area about different aspects of the industry.
