Adapting to Changes

Writer's picture: Grace SullivanGrace Sullivan

This has definitely been a difficult week as all students began starting e-school at home during these difficult circumstances with the coronavirus. I did not get as much ISM work done as I had hoped, and it was a challenge to get used to my new schedule. However, me and Mr. Barsoum were still able to keep communicating and I received feedback on little adjustments to make with my rig before I continued. I adjusted the back and the clavicle bends, as well as fixed something strange with my left foot. The foot was disconnected from the rest of the body when it moved, which was strange as the same issue was not present for the other foot. I would like to create a balanced schedule that incorporates dedicated ISM time each day so I am able to get as much done for each of my classes while balancing time for being at home. While this is a setback, I am fortunate to be studying a topic where my project can be worked on at home, and the most difficult steps have passed when I had access to more resources. This week I plan on hopefully being able to meet with my mentor through video calling to discuss if there are any more changes that need to be made before I am able to animate and will be able to get to work on that.
